Calcite powder (calcite mineral), like most carbonates, will dissolve with most forms of acid. Although calcite is fairly insoluble in cold water.
Calcium Carbonate ★ Calcite powder (CaCO3) has a pivotal role in the modern industrial economy due to its versatility, availability, and traceability. SMPL offers calcite powder (Calcium Carbonate) derived from cal veins in South West Rajasthan. The SM range offers chemical purity, outstanding brightness and controlled particle size distribution. Available in a wide range of micron sizes. The particle structure is spherical and microcrystalline. We provide extremely suitable particle-size distribution to ensure better dispersion and excellent physical properties (e.g. increased impact strength) in various polymers/plastics application. Also, our Micronized Calcite Powder is used as a Functional filler/additive in RPVCA pipes, Master batches, PP, HDPE, LDPE, ABS, Epoxy, PS and other polymer based compounds & as an extender in paints. We have firmly positioned ourselves as one of the major Cal Rock Exporters and Suppliers based in India.Cal is found in veins traversing various rock types, particularly limestone of the Aravalli and Ajabgarh series in Rajasthan, India. Calcium carbonate veins 30 to 150 cm. Thick, running uniformly sometimes for long distances, are usually found. Calcium also occurs as calcareous tufa, travertine, stalactite and stalagmite.
Industrial Applications of Calcite Powder
1. PP master batches, Automotive and Furniture compounds.
2. LDPE masterbatches.
3. Rigid PVC Pipes.
4. Leather Cloth Industry.
5. Paints, Inks, Powder Coating and Ceramic Industry.
6. Rubber Industry.
7. As a flux in Glass Industry and in sizing of Textile goods.
Calcite Mineral for Plastic Industries
Calcite mineral offered by us are widely used as mineral fillers in order to obtain a high humidity retention, to improve the consistency and dryness of the final mass. Furthermore, they do not alter neither the physical nor the chemical properties of soap products, nor the viscosity of the mix. They help to improve the cleaning action of soaps and detergents due to an adequate grade of abrasiveness. It is not retained by the textile fibers since they do not contain silica in a free stage and hence not cause damage to the fabrics. They are also used as secondary pigments.
Calcium for Paints Industries
We offer calcium carbonate, which provide a greater covering strength, thus increasing the performance of high quality paints, oil synthetic and other coatings. The excellent whiteness of our carbonates avoid interference with the paint’s colors and contribute to their opacity and that the paint will cover, without dripping, the surfaces.
Calcium for PVC Pipe Industries
Our CaCO3 powder is widely used in plastics as a filler due to its high dispersibility and uniform partical size (2 Micron d50), low oil absorption, high impact resistance, smooth surface finish, easy processing and excellent dimensional stability. They are indispensable for delustration of naturally transparent man-made fibers for instance and guarantee high color intensities and whiteness in plastic components.
